Keep in mind that multiple agencies share the FCCA (Franklin County Communications Authority) Safety trunked frequencies like Columbus Police, Fire, EMS and many others including suburban police departments. Some other police departments, like Bexley, Clinton Twp, Reynoldsburg still use their own system usually in the 400Mhz area.

The Franklin County Communications Authority (FCCA) Safety is a 6 multi-site simulcast system is the Public Safety system for Franklin County. Owned by the City of Columbus and administered with oversight by the Central Ohio Communications Advisory Committee, it is used by most public safety agencies in Franklin County, including the City of Columbus and the Franklin County Sheriff. Simulcast site locations are:
State Office Tower (SOT) @ Broad and High St
Groves Road
Parsons Avenue @ SR317 (behind Scioto Downs)
Griggs Dam
Morse Road @ Cherry Bottom Road
Polaris - Fire Station 33

Dublin Police (use COIRS P25 trunked system)
Gahanna Police (use Ohio MARCS)
Grandview Heights Police (use conventional 800 MHz frequencies)
Grove City Police / Jackson Twp Fire / Pleasant Twp Fire (use Grove City trunked system)
New Albany Police (use Ohio MARCS)
Ohio State University Police (use OSU trunked system)
Reynoldsburg Police (use conventional 450/460 MHz frequencies)
Whitehall Police (use conventional 450/460 MHz frequencies)
Washington Twp Fire (use COIRS P25 trunked system for dispatch/normal ops)
Worthington Fire and Police (use COIRS P25 trunked system for dispatch/normal ops)
All dispatch centers in Franklin County have the capability of accessing the system for mutual aid (using the METRO ALERT talkgroup). There is no mobile/portable use of this talkgroup.
The system is also used by the Columbus Water Department.

This multi-site simulcast system is the Public Service system for Franklin County. Owned by Franklin County and administered with oversight by the Central Ohio Communications Advisory Committee, it is used by most non-public safety operations of the City of Columbus and Franklin County, as well as several suburban cities and townships. Other suburbs are gradually joining the system as well. Simulcast site locations are in downtown Columbus and northeastern Franklin County.
